The Institute of Policy Studies (IPS), Islamabad, organized an in-house capacity building session for its interns focused on “Stakeholder Mapping and LinkedIn Profile Branding,” ON December 23, 2025. The session was aimed at strengthening participants’ professional competencies and enhancing their digital presence in an increasingly competitive knowledge and research environment.

The session was facilitated by Anum Akhlaq, deputy manager, Outreach, IPS, who provided practical insights into identifying, analyzing, and prioritizing stakeholders relevant to research, policy, and communication work. The discussion highlighted the strategic importance of stakeholder mapping for effective engagement, outreach, and impact-driven research.

In addition, the session addressed LinkedIn profile branding, guiding interns on how to present their academic background, skills, and professional interests in a coherent and credible manner. Emphasis was placed on personal branding, content positioning, and using LinkedIn as a tool for professional networking, research visibility, and career development.

The interactive nature of the session encouraged active participation, allowing interns to reflect on their professional goals and receive practical guidance tailored to early-career researchers and fresh graduates.

Such capacity building initiatives reflect IPS’s continued commitment to youth development, skill enhancement, and experiential learning, equipping young professionals with tools necessary to navigate academic, policy, and professional spaces effectively.
