‘Research Methodology: Theory and Practice in Activist Policy Research’

A workshop titled ‘Research Methodology: Theory and Practice in Activist Policy Research’ was held in collaboration with Karachi University on January 7, 2022. The online workshop, which aimed at developing and enhancing the participant’s understanding of applied research, was conducted by IPS Researcher Sufi Ghulam Hussain and attended by the University’s students from the Department of Mass Communication.

Sufi apprised the workshop participants about the connection between grassroot research, advocacy and public policy in detail. He highlighted how a good applied research can help fulfill various media and journalism goals, and then go on to influence key opinion leaders and common men, eventually having an impact on the policymaking corridors.
