Tauqeer Hussain

Tauqeer Hussain is a research officer at the Institute of Policy Studies (IPS), Islamabad. Currently he is pursuing his Doctorate in Law from International Islamic University, Islamabad (IIUI). Earlier, he has done LLM in Islamic Law & Jurisprudence and LLB (Hons.) in Shari’ah and Law. He did his thesis for LLM on the topic of ‘Pre-trial Detention of an Accused and its Compensation under Islamic and Pakistani Law’. Associated with IPS since the beginning of 2014, Tauqeer is also a member of Islamabad Bar Association and is enrolled as Advocate High Court in Islamabad Bar Council.
