VC-IPS shares insights on complex challenges facing Pakistan-Afghanistan relations
VC-IPS Ambassador (r) Syed Abrar Hussain delivered a keynote speech at a webinar titled ‘The Afghanistan Conundrum’, organized by Pak-Afghan Youth Forum (PAYF) on March 25, 2025.
Presenting his insightful analysis on governance, displacement, refugee and immigration issues affecting both Pakistan and Afghanistan, the speaker urged the two countries to adopt comprehensive coordinated strategies aimed at fostering improved bilateral relations.
The speaker also highlighted the importance of enhanced institutional cooperation between the two countries in addressing both refugee and immigration issues, as well as the need to understand the distinction between Tehreek-e-Taliban Pakistan (TTP) and the Afghan Taliban in order to reach a permanent solution to the problem.
