Sichuan University delegation at IPS
A three member delegation of the Sichuan University, Chengdu-China, led by university’s Vice President , Dr. Shi Jian, also including Prof. Chen Jidong, Director, Pakistani Study Center (PSC), and Ms. Tang Xuehong, Assistant Director, Exchange and Cooperation, visited IPS on May 15.
A three member delegation of the Sichuan University, Chengdu-China, led by university’s Vice President , Dr. Shi Jian, also including Prof. Chen Jidong, Director, Pakistani Study Center (PSC), and Ms. Tang Xuehong, Assistant Director, Exchange and Cooperation, visited IPS on May 15.DG IPS, Khalid Rahman welcomed the delegation at IPS. The two sides presented to each other the English and Chinese versions of monograph based on the lecture China of Today and Tomorrow: Dynamics of Relations with Pakistan by. M. Akram Zaki that was jointly organized by IPS and PSC last October. In the meeting that also included Irfan Shahzad, Lead Coordinator and Saleem Zafar, Research Coordinator IPS, the two sides explored the possibilities of further collaboration between IPS and university – particularly its Pakistan Study Center and Institute of South Asian studies. It was agreed that there should be active research collaboration between the two sides, particularly the scholars’ exchanges and joint events and publications. Pakistan Study Center is also publishing a study on Pakistan Economy in collaboration with IPS. Originally published in English, the study Pakistan’s Economic Journey: Need for New paradigm by former Chief Economist Fasih uddin and Akram Swati, is expected to be out by July.
