Reception for IPS officials at PIMA House

IPS team members visiting Karachi on an official trip were hosted by Professor Dr Sohail Akhtar, former central president of Pakistan Islamic Medical Association (PIMA) and IPS associate – at a dinner reception at PIMA House on November 26, 2021.

The IPS delegation comprising Chairman Khalid Rahman, Vice Chairman Ambassador (r) Syed Abrar Hussain, GM Operations Naufil Shahrukh, Senior Research Officer Syed Nadeem Farhat and Assistant Research Officer Usama Hameed, was received by leading doctors and medical practitioners of the city most prominently including renowned psychiatrist Dr Mubeen Akhtar, Professor Dr Shahid Mustafa, Dr Zeeshan Hussain, Dr Saeed Mohsini and Dr Khalid Mushtaq. Whereas, a number of IPS associates based in Karachi such as Azeem Pirani, CEO, Pak-Qatar Takaful, Tarique Rehman Fazlee, CEO, Falzeeons Pvt Ltd, Dr Bashir Lakhani, director (Water & Energy Division) Techno-Consult Pvt Ltd, and Kashif Hafeez Siddiqui, CEO, Pulse Consultant were also present in the get-together.

Chairman IPS apprised the gathering with the research-based endeavors of the Institute, highlighting several achievements and challenges.

The participants lauded the Institute’s efforts in the national and international policy arena and interacted with the members of the IPS delegation on various issues of mutual concern.
