IPS inks MoU with Al-Mustafa Int’l University, Iran

Knowledge sharing, used as an efficient tool, between Muslim countries such as Pakistan and Iran is crucial for preserving, projecting, and propagating Islamic identity, thoughts, and ideas.

This was highlighted by eminent Iranian scholars during the signing ceremony of a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) between Al-Mustafa International University, Qom, Iran, and the Institute of Policy Studies (IPS), Islamabad on March 9, 2023 that focuses on cooperation and collaboration in the areas of policy research, publishing projects, and human development.

The document was signed by Khalid Rahman, chairman, IPS, and Dr Ali Abbasi, president, Al-Mustafa International University, to further their interests in exploring areas of cooperation and the scope of future partnership in multiple areas of knowledge sharing.

Prof. Dr Zohadat, Dr Abdul Majeed, Muhammad Murtaza Ali Nejad Shani, Dr Nadeem Abbas, Ali Hasnain, Dr Mohsin Dad Sarisht Tehrani, and other delegate members were also present on the occasion.

Talking to the delegates, Chairman IPS stressed the importance of strong intellectual and academic ties between institutions of the Muslim world in order to promote Islamic epistemology and knowledge.

Adding to this, Dr. Ali Abbasi stated that western civilization has impacted Muslims’ individual and national norms in a way that forces Western worldview onto the world.

In such a scenario, it is pertinent for the seats of knowledge in the Muslim world defend, project, and propagate Islamic thought by working together through knowledge sharing, he added.
