As’ad Abu Khalil, a Lebanese-American professor of political science, and Dr. Farid Esack, a South African Muslim scholar, writer, and political activist, known for his opposition to apartheid, his appointment by Nelson Mandela as a gender equity commissioner, and his work in interreligious dialogue, joined Prof. Khurshid Ahmad in a profound session on “The United States, the Muslim World, and the Islamic Response,” held at the Institute of Policy Studies (IPS), Islamabad, on July 04, 2025. The seminar delved into critical perspectives on global power structures, the challenges confronting the Muslim world, and intellectual strategies for resistance and engagement grounded in Islamic values, justice, and dignity.
