Tasawwur-e-ilm Aur Taleem PDF Print E-mail

 

Institute of Policy Studies, Islamabad and Allama Iqbal Open University (AIOU), Islamabad jointly conducted a lecture-series on “Tasawwur-e-ilm Aur Taleem” from April 3, 2008 to June 5, 2008. This lecture-series was especially organized for the teachers, who were either currently engaged in the educational institutions or were undergoing teacher’s training program at various institutions. Prof. Dr. Habib ur Rahman Asim, a senior IPS Associate and the Head of Arabic Department in International Islamic University, Islamabad, was the main speaker of this lecture-series.

Based on almost two-month duration, the program comprised lectures on nine different topics related to “Tasawwur-e-ilm Aur Taleem”, four of which were held in the Institute of Policy Studies and five in the auditorium of AIOU. Eminent scholars presided over the sessions. They included well-known Professor Fateh Muhammad Malik, Chairman National Language Authority; Iftikhar Arif, Chairman Pakistan Academy of Letters; Prof. Dr. M.D. Shami, Former Chairman Pakistan Science Foundation (PSF), Islamabad; Prof. Dr. Anis Ahmad, Vice Chancellor Riphah International University, Islamabad; Dr. Mahmood-ul-Hassan Butt, Vice Chancellor Allama Iqbal Open University, Islamabad; Professor Dr. Saeeda Asadullah Khan, Vice-Chancellor Fatima Jinnah Women University, Rawalpindi; Dr. Khalid Alvi, Former Director General Dawah Academy, International Islamic University, Islamabad; Dr. Talat Khurshid, Director Federal College of Education, Islamabad and Senator Prof. Khurshid Ahmad, Chairman Institute of Policy Studies, Islamabad.
