Team Capacity Building Session on “Brain Map and Infographics for Research Visualization”
The Institute of Policy Studies (IPS), Islamabad, successfully organized an in-house capacity-building session titled “Brain Map and Infographics for Research Visualization,” on January 16, 2026, as part of its ongoing efforts to strengthen internal research competencies and enhance knowledge dissemination practices. The session focused on equipping IPS staff with practical and accessible tools to better organize complex ideas, structure research outputs, and improve clarity in analytical communication.
The session was facilitated by Ikram ul Haque Syed, Educationist, HR Development Specialist, and Senior Associate at IPS. Through an interactive and applied approach, participants were introduced to brain mapping techniques for idea generation and conceptual organization, alongside the effective use of infographics for translating research insights into visually coherent and engaging formats. The training emphasized learning-by-doing, enabling participants to immediately apply the tools to their research workflows.
By integrating visual thinking into research practices, the session contributed to IPS’s broader objective of enhancing analytical rigor and communication effectiveness. Such initiatives reflect the institute’s commitment to continuous professional development and to improving the accessibility and impact of policy research for diverse audiences.
