Safir Akhtar

Professor Dr. Safir Akhtar is Senior Research Fellow of the Institute. He is editor of IPS Urdu journal Nuqta-e-Nazar and member of editorial board of Maghrib aur Islam. Holding degree of D.Phil in Politics from University of York, UK, Mr. Akhtar is a renowned researcher and critic and has authored about twenty books on social, literary, demographic and ideological issues. His critical analyses and research articles regularly appear in scholarly and academic journals of Pakistan and India. He has attended and participated in dozens of seminars and conferences at national and international level.
