IPS Concludes Internship Program for University Students, Strengthening Research and Editorial Capacity
Institute of Policy Studies (IPS), Islamabad, has successfully concluded its mid-year internship program on January 14, 2026, involving a group of motivated and academically committed students, primarily from National University of Modern Languages (NUML) and International Islamic University Islamabad (IIUI). The program was designed to provide students with practical exposure to a professional research environment while familiarizing them with policy-oriented scholarship and institutional research practices.
During their internship, the students were placed at the Editorial and Research Desk, where they engaged in a range of academic and support activities. Their responsibilities included assisting with research-related tasks, reviewing and organizing content, supporting documentation processes, and contributing to routine academic workflows. Through this hands-on engagement, interns developed a clearer understanding of how research institutions function, particularly in translating academic inquiry into structured policy and publication outputs.
The internship experience also offered the participants an opportunity to strengthen essential skills such as critical reading, research assistance, content organization, and professional coordination within a scholarly setting. Their engagement reflected intellectual curiosity, discipline, and an increasing familiarity with the demands of policy research and editorial work.
IPS acknowledges the interest and commitment demonstrated by the interns throughout the program and values their contribution to ongoing research and editorial processes. The Institute remains committed to supporting academic learning and capacity development by providing students with meaningful exposure to research-based environments.
