The delegation was headed by Dr Mostafa Tork Zahrani, Director General, IPIS and also included Ambassador Mir Mahmoud Mousavi, former Iranian envoy in Islamabad and Delhi and Ahmad Reza Daneshkhou, Head of South & West Asia Studies Department, IPIS.

The delegation held a detailed discussion with Director General and team of IPS and the two sides exchanged views on bilateral relations as well as emerging regional and global situation. There emerged a consensus that no regional or global change of scene would fundamentally alter the closeness that Pakistan and Iran enjoyed. The two nations should work in close coordination to further cement their ties in all the arena of mutual cooperation.

The delegation also met chairman IPS, Prof. Khurshid Ahmad, separately. He emphasized upon the need for closer cooperation between Pakistani and Iranian think tanks such as IPS and IPIS. The two sides agreed to work the details out in this connection, in days ahead.
